Your home is your oasis. From hosting friends and family at the holidays to raising a family of your own, some of the most personal moments in life happen in the home. It’s where we spend a majority of our time — it should be a space that brings comfort and peace. Sure, the term “dream home” is a little cliché, but the sentiment stands: we want to make your home a place you can’t wait to return to.
As times passes and trends change, it’s not uncommon that a home that once met your needs is now falling short. Life changes, but for the most part houses stay the same. That’s where we come in. From small cosmetic adjustments to major floorplan changes, Compass Point has you covered. We’ve done projects of all shapes and sizes. Here’s a few of the areas we cover. You can also check out our previous projects here.

Sometimes, the best way to find your dream home is to build it from the ground up. We know that can be a scary prospect, which is why we walk you through every step along the way. From finalizing the floorplan to custom features to finishing touches, we are dedicated to getting every detail just right for your needs. After all, you’ll be the one living there.
Building a home is a big undertaking and a complex process with a lot of moving parts. We are transparent with our clients at every turn, keeping them updated through the good and the bad. Here’s a quick run-down of how we tackle the build process:
Location and Design
We find a lot that fits your needs and work together to design the floorplan of your home.
Digging and Foundation
Construction commences! We start by digging a lovely hole in the ground and pouring the concrete foundation of the home.
Framing Walls and Roof
The house is laid out in lumber, then closed in. This is where we separate the indoors from the outdoors.
Mechanical Rough-In (Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC), Insulation, and Drywall
Ductwork, pipes, and circuitry are laid out, which are all things necessary to make a house inhabitable.
Install Flooring, Cabinets, and Countertops
At this point, it’s starting to feel less like a construction zone and more like a house. The structure is complete and we’re moving on to the elements that turn a building into a home.
Mechanical Trim (Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC)
This is where the toilets come in, as well as lighting and the thermostat. You could technically move in now if you REALLY wanted to, but there’s still work to be done.
Bath/Cabinet Hardware and Finishing Touches
It’s really coming together at this point. It’s mostly little details like door handles and knobs.
Final Clean-up
The last remnants of construction are swept away, leaving you with a shiny new home with that new-house smell.
It sounds like a lot, and it is, but it’s nothing that we can’t handle, together. Contact us to get the ball rolling.
